Baggage! We've all got some, don't we? Thankfully, when you're into fashion—it's the good kind, ya know? Okay, maybe I'm a lil in denial, but one thing I know for sure is that a new season is upon us, so that means it's time to invest in key pieces! Bags are a quick and easy way to carry your hot mess upgrade your fall wardrobe. So I've gathered the best trends for this fall 2023 season, with highlights including: studded, angular, oversized, fuzzy, and novelty styles.
Designers like Hermès, GCDS, AWAKE Mode, and Khaite created studded statement bags that had a grunge feel, but were softened with round studs. Lanvin and Brumaire were other designers that did the same via boots and jewelry, so you know studs are having their moment.
Sharp edges are also here, as demonstrated by designers throughout the bag and shoe categories. Then, of course, oversized bags continue to rule the runway and I mean, why not? They are easy, practical, can basically fit your whole life, and are perf for traveling. You can also expect to see faux fur everywhere soon. Last but not least, novelty bags were everywhere! I'm talking about embellished cats from GCDS and spoons, cookie, and fried egg motifs from Puppets and Puppets. Anyway, cheers to our baggage being loud, chic, and ridiculously fun to carry.
