18 Thanksgiving Sex Positions You'll Definitely Be Grateful For
Tell your partner you've got dessert planned...and it's even sweeter than pumpkin pie.
Thanksgiving might be the most delicious holiday, but it doesn’t come without its stressors. Considering all the pie consumption, themed cocktails, and the quest for the perfect pumpkincore decor, it’s easy for the main message (the giving thanks part) to get lost in the sauce (er…gravy?). So why not give a ~very special~ thanks to your partner with lots of praise (the very best love language, IMO) and a cornucopia of Thanksgiving sex positions?
“Sex is about way more than intercourse, so in the spirit of giving thanks, share with your partner what you love about your sex life,” suggests founder of Beyond The Beez, Elizabeth Ashford. “Sit with each other and take five to 10 minutes to chat about your favorite sexual experiences together. Reflect on verbal cues, the way your partner touches you, activities you like—the more descriptive the better! You might find that this is all the foreplay you need to get things feeling hot and heavy because, don’t forget, your brain is your biggest sex organ!”
If you’re sexing alone, be thankful for that hand, toy, or removable shower head. “Don’t undersell the importance of a little me-time during this holiday weekend—especially because it's common to be spending time away from romantic partners,” says Ashford. If you’re staying with family, pack accordingly. “When it comes to vibrators, always opt for ones that are rechargeable, rather than battery-operated (they are often higher in quality and lower in sound).”
And if having the equivalent of 15 dinners in your belly is making you feel a little too bloated for sex, well, there are workarounds. Consider mutual masturbation or gentle positions where you’re on your sides and the pressure on your stomach is low. (More on that below.)
In the meantime, here’s a big ol’ plateful of Thanksgiving positions to help with all your sexy Turkey Day needs. #Blessed.
