It seems like Travis Scott is subtly breaking his silence on Kimothée through song. The Grammy-nominated rapper dropped his fourth album Utopia on Friday, July 28, with features from The Weeknd and Bad Bunny. Upon diving into Travis' signature flow and clever lyrics, fans theorize that he may be taking jabs at his ex Kylie Jenner's rumored new boyfriend, Timothée Chalamet.
Travis joins forces with Drake on the album's seventh track, "Meltdown," where they spit bars about their superiority in the music industry. There's a specific set of lines, though, that may allude to Kylie's alleged new BF:
"Wrappin' the cheese, wrap around me 'cause I've got property (Wrap, cheese, wrap) / Chocolate AP and chocolate the Vs (Vs), got the Willy Wonka factory (Vs) / Burn a athlete like it's calories, find another flame hot as me, bitch," Travis raps, comparing his jewelry and watches to the magic chocolate from Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory.
ICYMI, Timmy is dressing in The Muppets' Gonzo cosplay taking on the role of Roald Dahl's beloved character in the upcoming musical film WONKA. The flick—featuring an eccentric Timothée and Hugh Grant as an Oompa Loompa—is set to hit theaters on December 15, 2023. Because the coincidence is pretty spot on and the math seems to be mathing, fans took to Twitter to express their feelings about Travis' not-so-sweet reference.
"i was expecting many things from travis scott new album and a timothée chalamet diss was not part of them," one fan wrote, while another chimed in, "I'm sorry but if you have to drop a Timothée Chalamet diss track, you have already lost."
Others want the actor to embrace his Lil Timmy Tim roots with a clap back, and they aren't scared to admit it. "I would pay so much money for Timmy to release a diss track back at Travis. Like, an unruly amount," someone added.
The Dune actor has reportedly been linked to Kylie since they met at the Jean Paul Gaultier spring/summer 2023 couture show at Paris Fashion Week in January. Since then, the pair has been spotted visiting each other's houses and having dinner with Kendall Jenner and Bad Bunny.
I don't know about y'all, but I'll personally be waiting to see if Lil Timmy Tim or Miss Rise and Shine enter the chat as such:
