Selena Gomez recently surpassed Kylie Jenner as the most-followed woman on Instagram, and now the reality TV star has also lost the title of the highest-paid celeb on the platform, according to the Daily Mail. Per HopperHQ's Instagram Rich List, Kylie is now the second highest-paid star on the app, able to charge $1,835,000 per post.
She follows soccer player Cristiano Ronaldo—the most-followed person on Instagram—who can ask for $2,397,000 per post. Another soccer star, Lionel Messi, is the third highest paid, with a rate of $1,777,000 per post. Sel is fourth on the list despite having more followers than Kylie, and can reportedly charge $1,735,000 per post.
Where do other stars like Taylor Swift, Ariana Grade, Kim Kardashian, Beyoncé, Kendall Jenner, and more rank on the list? Well, in the top 12. Taylor comes in twelfth place ($1,142,000 per post), while Kim is in sixth ($1,689,000 per post). Ari is seventh ($1,687,000 per post), Beyoncé is eighth ($1,393,0000), and Kendall is 10th ($1,290,000 per post). You can see the full list here.
Kylie spoke in February with Vanity Fair Italy about how she felt having so many followers watching her on Instagram. “The truth? I grew up in the TV spotlight since I was nine years old. It has always been natural for me,” she said. “Notoriety, exposure never got in the way of my personality. Fame came early in my life, in a way I can say it came naturally because I can’t define a real before or after—it has always been that way. And I can’t make comparisons with my family either, because my family was not only there, with me, my family is also what keeps me grounded, firmly anchored in the reality of things. Of all things.”
