Naomi Osaka is a mom! The tennis pro has welcomed her first child, a baby girl, with boyfriend Cordae, a source told People.

The four-time Grand Slam singles champion gave birth in Los Angeles, and she and the baby “are doing well,” the insider said.

The athlete and rapper—who have been dating since 2019—announced they were expecting via Instagram this January.

Naomi shared a photo of an ultrasound of her baby and included a touching note about the happy news. “Can’t wait to get back on the court but here’s a little life update for 2023,” she captioned the post.

In a screenshot of her Notes app, the athlete shared, “The past few years have been interesting to say the least, but I find that its the most challenging times in life that may be the most fun. These few months away from the sport has really given me a new love and appreciation for the game I’ve dedicated my life to. I realize that life is so short and I don’t take any moments for granted, every day is a new blessing and adventure. I know that I have so much to look forward to in the future, one thing I’m looking forward to is for my kid to watch one of my matches and tell someone, ‘That’s my mom,’ haha.”

She also spoke with Harper’s Bazaar in March about how she managed to stay calm and entertained during her pregnancy. “I have been very fortunate to have a relatively easy pregnancy. I still enjoy listening to music and playing video games as a way to relax,” she said at the time. “Meditation has been extremely helpful for my anxiety.”

The name of her baby daughter has not yet been revealed.
